my cats during siesta

Yey! finally i’m able to transfer their photos on my computer. I took them using my sister’s phone yesterday afternoon. I was doing my laundry when i saw them on the doorway. They look so cute specially the one who looks dead. hehe. The black one isn’t here coz i can’t find him. He’s probably somewhere behind the plants. So here’s just the two cuties and their mom Munchkin.

My first Celebrating Performance award

I can’t help but post another one-liner immediately on twitter about my award the moment I received it and now I’m writing about it. I just can’t believe I got one. Well ever since we were transitioned last September to our mother company, I never thought about the company’s Celebrating Performance award much since I thought it’s only given to those special ones. But then I was really surprised that I actually got one today. It was awarded to me by my manager after the quick turnaround of a recent emergency task I was assigned. It was really vital to our client and I was glad that after catching a defect and retesting the fix, I was able to get it out of QA quickly last Friday. Then when I checked my email this morning, it feels good to be thanked by our client and some higher ups for a job well done. But the most touching one is when I received my very first Celebrating Performance Award. I don’t know, but I really feel happy for being recognized and appreciated for my hard work (note that it is also the very first award I got ever since I started on this company May of 2006 though not much awards are given previously unless you’re a superman and this Celebrating Performance awards is our mother company’s own so we only got eligible for it starting last September… hehe). I just hope no more issue will arise on the task I did once it gets loaded in our client (crossing my fingers)

Here’s an excerpt from the email I got about my award. I hid some names/word for privacy purposes:

searching my blog and myself on google

Funny that the thought of searching my blog on google hit me. So during break at the office last friday, i searched these three words on google: “pusangkalye”, “pusang kalye”, and “kuting” and i discovered a lot of things….

1. My domain (pusangkalye.com) showed on the top list of course.
2. I saw websites, blogs, forums where i posted something using my pusangkalye or kuting name and my link back.
3. There are lots of other people who uses kuting and pusangkalye too aside from me.
4. I saw some people using some avatars in forums thats links from some images in m blog. (hmmm makes me think of disabling hot linking already…hmmm)
5. I found some sites where there has been some reviews of my blog which i didn’t know of. An example is at stumbleupon where some users posted a nice review about a certain post i wrote on my blog. [link1] [link2]
6. and a lot more…

I also tried searching my name in google in different variations and here’s what i found:

1. A lot of other people having same names
2. Old websites i visited or signed up for using old usernames
3. An article about me in a local newspaper company website (really.. and i never knew about it until the time i saw it on google) . Well okay its not all about me but i’m included in it. There’s this once paragraph that tells about me and its love related. haha.

So there, anyone else tried doing the same thing? found something shocking or interesting? its really worth a try. i’m sure you’ll discover a lot of things :)

my twitter life

Its been some months now since i put up my twitter blog - PinoyTwitters. “Its where I share twitter-related ideas or information as well as Filipino-made twitter services to everyone in an unbiased, informative, and personal point of view and allow open discussions about it.” as i’ve said in the website. So far, i would say its been a successful blog, looking at its goal. I am able to talk to fellow Pinoy Twitters and even make some new friends. And i’m sure a lot others are experiencing the same too. Plus, there’s this three Filipino services that came up to help Pinoy Twitters enjoy twitting. The first one is Godie’s TWIT2948 which he gladly shared to everyone and continues to develop for everyone’s benefit. Another is PHtwitters - though i never knew who the person behind is, i’m still glad he was inspired to put up phtwitters website to serve users who will be using the personal service he made for Pinoy Twitters. Third is the Filipino made mobile messenger YehBA* - i’m a user of it and was initially using its IM service through the Jabber network to update my twitters when i’m on the go. Recently they launched a special service on the application for twitter. I’m not sure why they put it up but still i’m glad they did.

Anyway, i’ve got my next question up on PinoyTwitters - “Why do you use twitter?” and answering it myself, well, for me its fun using twitter. It’s like a mini blog or a quick blog where you can post any short message or update on what you’re doing or on what’s happening or what you’re thinking about - that are too short to be posted as a blog post. I don’t know, but in a way i got addicted to it. Any thought i have on my mind, i twit it up always. Plus its nice coz i get to meet new friends and be able to twit with them :)

kittens

Just sharing some pics of the kittens of my grandpa’s cat Munchkin. Funny that we only saw them a few weeks ago. We almost thought they died after Munchkin gave birth to them. I wonder where Munchkin hid them before showing them to us now that they’re bigger…

The three little kittens….

2008 Retake of The Dating Persona Test

Upon seeing that there’s a new version of the dating persona test and that i first took it last June 2007, i decided to retake it. I’m pretty sure i have some answers that are different from my previous answers, but heck, it surprised me that among the 32 personals, i’m “The Sonnet” again! haha, reading its description, i could say its 90% true for what i believe…

Here’s my retake result: The Sonnet

2008 World Pyro Olympics

The 2008 World Pyro Olympics fireworks competition is back again to amaze everyone. I recently got an email from my officemate about it. Searching on google, i know i’m late again. The news has been up already for quite some time. But anyway, i’m glad i still learned about it weeks before it starts as i could already start managing my schedule. Last year, i was able to watch only one event and i was on BayWalk that time, so imagine how far i am while watching it. But anyway, i hope this time i could watch it closer. My officemates are planning that we watch it all together after having dinner in MOA then go for a road trip again afterwards. hehe. I love watching fireworks displays. It always make look like a child watching it with amazement, smiling, and always saying “wow” ;)

back to work @ 08 with McDonalds’ McMoney

Its the first working day of the year and as i was walking from the Ayala bus stop towards my building feeling the warmth of the morning sun and waking up my mind, a guy in red and black suddenly handed me a red envelope. I took it and continued walking giving a quick glance at the envelope which has the word “McMoney” printed on it. So, here’s the discount coupon of McDonald’s this year. It says “McMoney - A great way to save this New Year!”, indeed it will. But browsing voer the discount coupons that looked like play money, i realized that the discount they offer this year is lower than what they used to give. I guess every year it gets worse. what i love with their coupons before are the free sundae cone, the free upgrades for the drinks and fries and P10 off the 1 pc chicken meal. But now, its only P8 off the chicken meal and no more free ugprades  :( But anyway, i think i could still use the coupons. Its still better than no discount at all, ayt?
