+ My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend ( my rating: 7/10)
I’ve never been a fan of local pinoy movies especially those mushy chick flicks starring the latest love teams of either network (GMA and ABS-CBN). Honestly, i only get to watch them on certain instances like if my grandparents happen to watch them on dvd or on tv at home. However, the story of My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend took my interest and somehow it made me want to watch it. But since it not my like to watch such movies in cinemas, i just bought a pirated copy in Quiapo last week.
So what can i say? The copy is just a cine-copy so i’ve accepted the fact that its not that clear and it’s kinda dark and you’ll see some shadows of people’s hands or heads nd hear extra sounds like giggles and laughs, etc. But for the movie itself, here are my comments:
- the story is good though its just simple and obviously like any other local love stories, you already know the ending. But as a whole, the movie has been fun and interesting that even though you know the ending, you’ll never get bored and you’ll feel like watching film from start to finish.
- Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez are better off as bestfriends onscreen. Marian and Dingdong Dantes are the ones who looks great as onscreen loveteam.
- as usual, there are some scenes that are either corny or lame and the rich-guy-poor-girl partnership is here. However the cliche parts are very few so it didn’t affect the film much.
- as a whole, i did like the movie. though there are some common scenes i already expected from a pinoy film, still most part of it are somewhat fun and with sense. I enjoyed watching it. really.
+ My Big Love ( my rating: 2/10)
Hmm first i never really like Toni Gonzaga especially Sam Milby. I’m even sooooo disgusted with his face. Haha. The story of the movie didn’t even took my interest at all.But guess what, i can’t believe i watched this movie and more to that i even watched it in Glorietta! my goodness! it all started when my officemate who’s part of my barkada at the office invited us to watch it. She’s really a fan of Toni Gonzaga. Its a friday and while thousands of people are rallying outside our office building, she succeeded on getting two girls and three guys of our group to join her in watching the movie. So there, we went to glorietta 1 and watch it. The whole time, we were picking on her on corny scenes and those that we already told her would probably happen like when the two were running in the park and would fall and lie on the ground and then it would rain while Sam is explaining to Toni, and then in the end when they would kiss you’ll see the oc people at the background cheering on them, and the corny dancing act at the grocery. haha.
- i hate the film. infact, its also that type of movie where you already know the ending and worse, you already know what will happen in the whole movie.
- Sam’s prostetics and flabs are really obvious
- i think the only part where we laugh is the one when the mother is having a hard time moving the pedicab uphill
- Toni and Sam don’t really look good together. They really don’t act well and they’re such a corny loveteam. They don’t even have what you call the ’spark’
- the movie was really corny (especially the part where the mother is clinging exaggerately to Sam when he visited them and also when Toni’s brother is rapping with his friends, its like, duh!), lame and a waste of time and money. Its the rich-guy-poor-girl story too.
- the only thing i ever like about it is one of its theme songs.
- I really think its better to watch My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend on the cinema rather than My Big Love.
- and i think, i now understand why My Big Love is shown later than My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend coz its definitely gonna be a big loser.
PS> i recently saw someone reposted my comment on My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend on PEX and gave it a title of ” we do not condone piracy”. Okay… it made give out a quick smile. I won’t comment much about it here, perhaps i need to write a post about me and piracy this week. Anyway, for the mean time, here’s a screenshot of the post

Haha pinanood ko yung MY BIG LOVE
Nung HS ako ayokong ayoko talaga nanonood nung mga Local films feeling ko kasi baduy e… Pero nung nagcollege ako that’s when I started to like watching local films… Pasalamat ako sa Retorika prof namin kasi sya yung nagrequire na manood kami ng MMFF entry that time at kelangan namin gumawa ng report about the movie.. Ayun since then nahiligan ko na manood ng local movie pero syempre pili lang din yung movies… Madalas mga romantic comedies ang pinapanood ko at madalas din na puro ABS-CBN/Star Cinema films 
Pero d ko din masyado nagustuhan yung MY BIG LOVE. Meron din silang naunang movie together at yun yung mas nagustuhan ko.. Ang napansin ko lang dun sa movie is ang ganda magdala ni Sam ng damit hahaha! Natawa ako dun sa part na nagsisit ups si Sam para nyang sinasakal sarili nya 
Napansin mo din ba na dito lang sa south (Alabang area) yung Gold’s Gym at yung tumatakbo sila dun sa field tapos may kasunod si Sam na mga tindero? Wala lang

@lei hmmm okie naman mga local films kaso pili nga lang yung matitino. usually sila pa yung either love story or comedy drama. pero basta grabe super feeling ko talaga walang wents yung my big love. haha. my napanood kasi rin ako movie ni toni at sam dati sa cinema one parang halos paeho yung mga corny scene nila. haha.
naku uu napansin ko yung mga pasunod-sunod na vendors. eh napansin mo ba yung sa supermarket nung pasayaw sayaw sila, parang paulit ulit lang yung ginagawa ng mga extra sa likod lalo na yung babaeng nakablack yta yun my dalang cart..haha
hmmm ang first ever local film na napanood ko eh “Jose Rizal” yung si Ceasar Montano pa nga ata yun.

wala ka namang galit sa ABS CBN nyan? hehehe… for the record: kahit crush ko si Toni Gonzaga, tinulugan ko sa sine ang My Big Love.
di nman ako galit sa ABS CBN. hahaha. say ko lang na kahit parehong corny ung MBL at MBGF eh mas amtino yung MBGF at wa wents at waste of time and money alngyung MBL. no offense sa mga fans nila pero yun nman ang totoo. hehe
Is “My Big Love” really that horrible or what? I never got to see any.
so, i already watch both movies and i can say that my bestfriends girlfriend was far better than my big love.My BFF GF rocks because both richard and marian were good and the plot is better than the my BL.my BL sucks because only tony knows how to act and the story was really bad compared to there past movie like YOU ARE THE ONE….i will also rate the movie MBFFGF a 7/10 but i will give MBL a 3/10

ang pangit ng my bestfriends girlfriend wala na magawa c marian kundi sumayaw,my big love sbrang ganda.kya d sinabay kc pnapakita ng star cinema na even foreign movie ang itapat ng MY BIG LOVE kikita pa rin at sold out ang tiket,mall tour pa lang may ticket na kmi binili pra mapanood tlaga nmin.wag na kau manira,kung gus2 nyo ang MYBFGF fine basta click sa amin ang MY BIG LOVE.I LOVE YOU TONI
