McKinney in Texas will be celebrating their 28th annual Dickens of a Christmas festival. It will be an old fashioned, Victorian atmosphere with horse drawn carriages, strolling carolers, visits with Santa Claus, the Christmas tree lighting and activities for all ages like face painting, arts and crafts area, pony rides, theather production of “A Christmas Carol” and many more. Come over and enjoy the Christmas music, Dicken’s era dress, food and children’s activities provided by local not-for-profit organizations. Highlight of the event this year is the snow tubing. Since there is now snow there, they will have this snow tubing hill where you can experience snow tubing right there! It will be an exciting event this year and it will all start on the 28th with the tree-lighting ceremony and other starter activities.
