I’ve got a new phone for free from T-Mobile. Its  Motozine and its pretty sweet. I like that it has a 5mp kodak camera, and slim lightweight design, a cool sweet look, user-friendly features, and cool features such as wifi and tv out.

So far the only problem i notice is with the wifi thingy which i’m yet to figure out why i can’t browse the web on it when i hooked it up to a hotel wifi and then the rotate feature where it says you can rotate images 90 degrees but somehow the output always ends up either facing left or right. I don’t know why.

Omigosh! I can’t believe it! My prediction for the top 3 actually came true! There’s Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, and Kris Allen!!! I’m so happy! But ofcourse my choice for the top 1 or shall i say the next American Idol is none other than Adam!!! I love his version of Mad World the best! He’s such a great singer and artist! I’m sure he’s gonna do well in the music industry.

Its my first time watching American Idol almost for a whole season and now i know how addicting it is! I love watching it. But guess what? i never ever voted for some practical reasons but i wished the best for my choices

I recently joined and played the game in FaceBook called Vampire Wars and well.. i’m hooked. lol. Its a pretty cool game and well i haven’t been playing an online game for long so might as well try and enjoy it and see how far i’ll go. Omigosh! at first i thought it was just a joke but now i realized its true. Saw the news about it in PerezHilton. I first found out about it after a friend send me a link to an online petition that wants to halt its production. Basically, ABC-CBN, one of the big media giant in the Philippines bagged the rights to make a local tv series of the popular Twlight. Sheesh… i just wish if ever it will push through that it will be good if as not good as twlight itself. Shaina who will be potraying Bella looks good and i think she’ll do just fine (and thinking among the ABC-CBN actresses, i think she’s the best choice anyway) however its sad that Edward will be portrayed by Shain’a onscreen loveteam partner Rayver. He doesn’t look as handsome, attractive and stunning as what we would expect of an Edward, really. I know a lot of Pinoy Twilight fans didn’t like this news and yet some are right when they said we should not judge them as early as now. I think Richard Gutierrez would have made a good Edward (but haha, a Richard-Shaina tandem? impossible, for now, lol. and oh, sorry but i’m not a Richard fan either, just thought they might look good as Edward-Bella). So there, i wonder what news would pop out soon about this… lets wait and see… and btw, i did sign the petition. haha =p

I was very shocked to read of the breaking news in the Philippines for inquirer.net. Marky Cielo is dead! I was never surprised nor did i react to any celebrity’s death except for him and Rico Yan. For me, I see Marky as a really promising actor and he’s really very talented, handsome, smart, and most of all kind and down-to-earth. Its such a big loss for the Philippine showbiz industry to lose someone like him. He’s got a bright future ahead of him. No official release yet of the cause of his death though it could have been something like that of Rico Yan’s. They both died in their sleep. They’re both young and promising actors. I’m just really sad to hear this bad news. Let’s all pray for him and his family. I know God has a reason for taking him this early. I hope he’ll be happy whereever he is. This afternoon we went to Alta to ski. They have this promo of Ski for free after 3. However we arrived there already by 4pm and after some discussion and preparation we only had 1 hour left then to ski. Well, at least we had the chance to ski and take some pictures. Its my first time so i was really nervous and always falling down but it was fun though a lil scary since it my first time. Maybe next time i’ll ski better, hehe. Then we had dinner at Jumbo Buffet. Its a chiness restaurant and i was so glad to see lots of crab and shrimps. dishes I’ve been craving for them for 3 weeks now. Some of the food taste bad, really. But some are okay. I only enjoyed eating the spider crab arms but hey, i did ate a lot. haha. Somehow, i missed eating the crab in the Philippines and the shrimps there. They taste better, honestly, in my opinion.

yup, i’m still feeling homesick. maybe because i really miss our food at home ( cooked by my grandparents) and i miss being with the people i love. I love hugging and kissing and saying “i love you” to these people and now i’m here all i can do is say it to them, no more hugs and kissed. I’m thousand miles away and no matter how much i want to come home to them, i just can’t. I can be independent coz i experienced it for 2 years but its different here coz before every weekend or every other weekend i could go home to my family. but here, its quite impossible to that. im here, trying to be independent again, feeling homesick, trying to live each day with officemates on an onshore assignment here like me and other people too in the office here. its nice to be in the US but its better if i’m with my loved ones.

They say, Its Microsoft’s ad againsts the Mac ad. Honestly, I prefer PCs or lets say Windows than Macs. I guess i grew up with it and i’ve got used to it already. But i’ve seen and tried Macs and i think they’re cute but i guess they’re just not for me. lol. So, with that, i’m proud to say, I’m a PC

I recently got a ASUS X80NE Notebook from a fellow TPC member. I’m not sure if the price is right but compared to others i’ve searched for i think its okay and cheaper. I got it for around 26.5k and it comes with a free laptop bag and optical mouse. Good enough for a simple laptop. Anyway, after i picked it up from their shop in Makati, it was pre-installed with XP already and a few drivers. I was given a copy of the other drivers needed but when i found out the the audio is not working and there are still yellow items in the Device Manager, i decided to browse around and download updated drivers from the ASUS website.  I got most from the X80N folder and some like the UAA and PCMCIA from A8N (which is almost the same model as the X80N). After installing the drivers and some softwares, i finally have it working fine

This is the order in which you should install drivers for ASUS notebooks:
1. Chipset driver
2. ATKACPI driver (you may install all 5 atk drivers in the atk folder)
3. VGA driver
4. UAA driver (under the a8n audio driver folder)
5. Audio driver
6. Modem driver
7. LAN driver
8. Card Reader driver (under pcmcia folder)
9. Wireless Console utility (in Utilities folder)
10. Bluetooth driver (optional – if you don’t have BT just skip it)
11. Wireless driver (if you dont want to use the windows wireless connection manager)
12. Other drivers (kb_filter, touchpad drivers, tpm drivers if you need them)
13. Utilities (optional, if you don’t like Asus apps just skip it)

Suggested asus utilities you might want to install:
- splendid (for the splendid utility to work)
- instant fun
- lifeframe
- power 4 gear (for the power4 gear to work)
- asus dsm (a software that cna encrypt/hide files and folder)

Download drivers here. Just type the laptop model on the upper right corner search field and hit “search info” then choose the os model you need on the pop-up menu.

My comment after a few weeks of using it:

- laptop speaker is okay, initially sound is not that good but after playing around with the equalizer it sounded better already when playing music.
- display is beautiful and graphics look nice. the splendid technology software that comes with it added to its beauty.
- the builtin webcam is good enough even if its just a vga camera.
- like most notebooks, it easily gets hot so its better to get a laptop cooler
- weight is tolerable at around 2kg+ with the battery
- its very fast and easy to use. i feel like im still working on my desktop pc except that it got smaller.
- got no problems so far…
