Right… I haven’t posted anything for weeks! Except for my short updates on Twitter. Hahaha so that’s what i call microblogging being so useful and convenient. I can update anywhere i am – at home, at work, or on the road – with my pc or my phone. And i can say anything from being so bored, to my happy thoughts, about what I’m currently doing, about where I’m currently at, and simply any random thought. Sweet isn’t it?

So my blog doesn’t just show whatever long post i have but it also shows all my short updates via the microblogging system called Twitter. I just love Twitter and needless to say, i’m so hooked on it.  I’ve seen another one for microblogging called Jaiku which was recently acquired by Google. Looks neat and nice and pretty much like Twitter but i guess i’ll stick to Twitter. Besides,i think saying Twitter/Tweets/Twits etc.. is much cuter and well i don’t have any reason to leave Twitter. It serves it purpose and i’m satisfied with it. And of course, my Twitter blog – PinoyTwitterS.com – , it shows my dedication to Twitter and all pinoys out there who finds it useful and are hooked to it like me…

So if i haven’t updated here… Just check my Twitter updates on my sidebar. It sure is updated almost everyday.. hehehe ;)

with all the things running at the back of my head, i guess this is something easier to think of and to post about at the moment. i watched this movie last weekend with my younger sister at home. my elder sister brought home a downloaded copy and obviously its pirated and since its just a cam version, we watched a crappy one though in a way we understood the movie. Its that kind of chick flick that i like watching where it makes you feel excited about love and makes you day dream about your future and a lot more. hehe.

after watching it, i realized how i am also looking forward to my own wedding day. Like most girls, i do want mine to be unique and special and make it the best day of my life. I’ve been thinking about my plans for it and day dream about it as if its already happening but then in the end, it all comes down to wanting it to be just a simple but lovely one. Actually, i’m even worried about walking down the aisle. I’m the type of person who doesn’t like people looking at me coz i tend to be conscious of my movements and it really makes me uneasy. So thinking about that specific moment when i’ll be walking down the aisle and all eyes are on me – i wonder what would happen to me. will i be able to walk properly? will i be not look down? or will i be a runaway bride? (this one i hope would not happen of course!)

now back to movie,  it was enjoyable and i could relate to it like most would probably will where their favorite part of the wedding is when the bride is walking and the groom looks at her the way she always wanted to be looked at as she walks down the aisle. as for being the bridesmaid, well i’ve never been one yet and actually i’ve been to a few wedding only as a guest.

anyway, that day will be happening years from now but i do hope soon. honestly, i do have a deadline already. its actually a specific date i have in mind which is perfect to be my wedding day. i have some songs in mind already, people i’ll invite,  ideas of food to be served, etc. my the only things i ain’t sure about yet is where its gonna be held, what the theme will be, and who’s gonna be my groom? ;)

Funny that the thought of searching my blog on google hit me. So during break at the office last friday, i searched these three words on google: “pusangkalye”, “pusang kalye”, and “kuting” and i discovered a lot of things….

1. My domain (pusangkalye.com) showed on the top list of course.
2. I saw websites, blogs, forums where i posted something using my pusangkalye or kuting name and my link back.
3. There are lots of other people who uses kuting and pusangkalye too aside from me.
4. I saw some people using some avatars in forums thats links from some images in m blog. (hmmm makes me think of disabling hot linking already…hmmm)
5. I found some sites where there has been some reviews of my blog which i didn’t know of. An example is at stumbleupon where some users posted a nice review about a certain post i wrote on my blog. [link1] [link2]
6. and a lot more…

I also tried searching my name in google in different variations and here’s what i found:

1. A lot of other people having same names
2. Old websites i visited or signed up for using old usernames
3. An article about me in a local newspaper company website (really.. and i never knew about it until the time i saw it on google) . Well okay its not all about me but i’m included in it. There’s this once paragraph that tells about me and its love related. haha.

So there, anyone else tried doing the same thing? found something shocking or interesting? its really worth a try. i’m sure you’ll discover a lot of things :)

First i really feel happy about an award i got from a friend. Its really sweet and i couldn’t help but smile upon seeing it. Thanks a lot ;)

Second, i hate spam. really. and it just irritates me that my blog gets bombarded lately with a spam about credit cards. good thing askimet is so good in catching them that i only have to see them when i want to empty my spam comments page. as for email spams… my all-purpose yahoo email gets a lot daily. i guess i’m used to it. good thing my personal msn and domain email don’t get any…so far.

Third, i attended two interesting recreational courses offered by my company. Last Saturday i attended a flower arrangement course and last night its the giftwrapping and ribbon art course. It’s really fun and of course aside for learning tips and tricks to do stuffs, i get to take home my own finish product. And oh, last wednesday i watched I AM LEGEND with my team mates. We signed up for it in our company’s monthly movie nights. So its free and the one we went to is held at greenbelt. i like the movie though feeling ko bitin sya and ilang beses ako nagulat.

Fourth, i’ve been busy last week and this week. 90% of my tasks are all emergencies. so its really stressful at work and i always feel tired after. good thing when i get out of the office, i can already forget everything about it.

Fifth, i created two new msn email accounts.one is quite formal and the other one is gonna be my personal account. I’m still gonna use my first msn email since it still serves its purpose as my all-purpose msn account just like my yahoo one where all sort of emails go if they’re not personal. oh, if anyone wants a free @msn email account instead of the usual @hotmail one let me know and i can you get you some. having one gives you an edge over hotmail. hehe.

Sixth, i’m starting to watch korean movies again. i just love them. i bought a 16-in-1 dvd with nice korean movies. my favorites are the “my sassy girl”, “windstruck”, “the lake house” and “the art of seduction. i don’t know but i like sweet dramas and comedy love stories a lot.

Seventh, i’m finally getting a new phone …soon! i’m just making sure its what i really want this time.. and my Globe bill for January.. its double my plan amount. i only took the 800 plan but still i’m spending a lot on calls/texts/wap/share-a-load. haha.

Lastly… i’m glad i am able to post something again and visit some friend’s blogs. til then..

Its been some months now since i put up my twitter blog – PinoyTwitters. “Its where I share twitter-related ideas or information as well as Filipino-made twitter services to everyone in an unbiased, informative, and personal point of view and allow open discussions about it.” as i’ve said in the website. So far, i would say its been a successful blog, looking at its goal. I am able to talk to fellow Pinoy Twitters and even make some new friends. And i’m sure a lot others are experiencing the same too. Plus, there’s this three Filipino services that came up to help Pinoy Twitters enjoy twitting. The first one is Godie’s TWIT2948 which he gladly shared to everyone and continues to develop for everyone’s benefit. Another is PHtwitters – though i never knew who the person behind is, i’m still glad he was inspired to put up phtwitters website to serve users who will be using the personal service he made for Pinoy Twitters. Third is the Filipino made mobile messenger YehBA* – i’m a user of it and was initially using its IM service through the Jabber network to update my twitters when i’m on the go. Recently they launched a special service on the application for twitter. I’m not sure why they put it up but still i’m glad they did.

Anyway, i’ve got my next question up on PinoyTwitters – “Why do you use twitter?” and answering it myself, well, for me its fun using twitter. It’s like a mini blog or a quick blog where you can post any short message or update on what you’re doing or on what’s happening or what you’re thinking about – that are too short to be posted as a blog post. I don’t know, but in a way i got addicted to it. Any thought i have on my mind, i twit it up always. Plus its nice coz i get to meet new friends and be able to twit with them :)

In a few hours its gonna be 2008 – so let me write my last blog post for 2007.  Hmmm, so what can i say? Its been quite a year for me.  A lot have happened and a lot more will continue to happen this coming year. Anyway, here are my last thoughts:

- I still have some unfinished business and some thoughts to ponder on.  I think i have to reevaluate a few things that happened in my life and decide on what i should do next about it. But before that, i need to clear my mind…. how? i don’t know honestly, but i’ll think about it and find a way. hehe

-  For the first time in my life, i manage to keep a blog updated for 2 months straight now. Way to go Kath! hehe. I guess factors that made me do it are: 1. i’m paying for my webhost so might as well use it; 2. i have a faster internet access at home plus the access i have at my office, so i’m estimating that i am in front of a computer with internet access for at least 8 hours a day – meaning i can access my blog anytime; 3. personal choice – yup, i decided to put this up, i decided to update it as many times as i could if i have something to write about, so here it is; 4. um… what else?

- I put up PinoyTwitterS.com! its all because i got fond of Twitter and how people get addicted to using it. Seeing that many Filipinos use it, i made a way to unite fellow Pinoy Twitters where we can connect to each other, learn and share anything twitter-related for our benefit to make our twitter-life better and more fun.

- this year, i spent my christmas bonus that was given early to buy a new set of computer- that’s my Baby Abit. my little sister’s old pc gave up and she badly needed a computer for her school works plus my grandma misses my cousins in the US so much that we need a computer and a dsl connection to be able to make a videochat with them and i need a computer too. I can’t live without one. hehe. So there, myBaby Abit is born. I think the only old thing about him is the second hand monitor a bought from our company garage sale, all else are new :) so thats where my 13th month pay all went to. sheesh. But hey, good thing coz i’m starting to learn to take care and manage a personal computer. Would you believe that a computer science graduate like me, who started using a computer when i was in grade 4 only learned to format a computer last month? haha. funny and stupid – but true ;)

- I had a lot of frustrations at work this year but good thing i had the chance to clear itall up with my new team lead. Hopefully this coming year would be a better one for me – coz i know i deserve better for all my hardwork. Or maybe i deserve something else,  somewhere else. who knows? like what my grandma always tell me – there’s a reason for everything, and no matter what happens i just need to do my best. God has a plan for me, i just need to be patient. i know she’s right, so even if i had a not-so-good life at work this year, i just need to continue the hard work i’m doing and next year, maybe, i’ll get what i deserve.

- My love life – okay i won’t talk much about it but heck its been one tough year for me, or i could say one crazy year for me. I just wish… i just wish…. if only…..*sigh*

- Money …. geez i’d fire up again if i’d talk about it, lol.

- Friends … okay one new year’s resolution i’d make is to try to contact all those friends i had before that i consider close to me and try to bring back the good old days. Some may not welcome me anymore and some may be glad to welcome me back. I guess after all these years, i’ll finally figure out which ones are my true friends.

- I just remembered, could i be dead already? i mean last time during the Glorietta 2 blast, it could be that i am one of those people dead or injured with that incident. It was a friday and my officemates and i were supposed to have out lunch out in Glorietta that time. Good thing one of us felt lazy to walk all the way from Paseo de Roxas to Glorietta that we decided to eat at a nearby building instead. And the recent earthquake, that was strong! and we’re in the 16th floor of our building so we really felt it. I was really scared that time. One of the last thing i would want to happen to me is to be on a 16th floor of a building when a strong earthquake would happen and we would need to walk down on what seems like an endless stairway and everyone especially me would be panicking thinking the building might collapse. hehe

 - I hate New Year’s eve. Well its all because of the noise people around create – the sound of torotot everywhere, and the firecrackers people use which always make my heart leap and sometimes (well most of the time) make me shriek. I hate it when people especially children play with watusi and those that throws firecrackers near people. tatawa-tawa pa sila pag nagulat mga tao. how i wish masabugan sila so that they’ll stop doing such things during new year. I hate noise. I guess i’d prefer a loud sound of cool music or just watching lots of fireworks displays. That would really be a peaceful and wonderful new year celebration. What i like about new year, when we have some special good food for medja noche and when i sit on our roof or on top of our van to watch the sky filled with fireworks display from a nearby village of affluent people. I like it too when my grandma throws coins around the house and me and my cousins would pick them all up and have our pockets filled with coins; when me and my sisters would stay up a few more hours after midnight and grab some snack and a bottle of wine and some beers and chat till we feel sleepy. hehe

oh well.. that’s all i could think of right now. i’m on my headphones listening to loud music so i won’t hear the noise outside that i didn’t hear my grandma calling me. hehe. gotta go back downstairs and help out :) Happy New Year!!!

well, i only had a few christmas gifts but they were nice and i’m glad i still got something rather than nothing.. hehe

1. A gold Havaianas slippers – finally, i got one from my elder sister. Its really nice and well if she didn’t give me one, i would have never owned one. haha

2. silver butterfly earrings – from my younger sister, its cute and good thing she knew the type of earrings hook that i prefer :)

3. a blue pillow from bluemagic – from Paolo, my officemate. Its for the final gift-giving in our team

4. other nice stuffs from some officemates like a penholder, a pen with flashlight, a portable comb and mirror, a mini fan, chocolates, cookies, tiny teddy bear, bagtag, pen with a rabbit stuffed toy on top, a gel pen, a cute necklace, bracelet, notepads, etc…

Still my wishlist haven’t changed and will always wait for the right time to have it..haha

1. a bluish silver car or a black toyota fortuner
2. a mini lightweight laptop
3. the very huge garfield stuffed toy from the garfield shop
4. my own room – or rather my own house?
5. a toyger (its a cat-tiger breed)
6. my own supply of Cowhead milk and Yakult
7. a new phone
8. trip to Disneyland USA
9. trip around the world
10. God-given hubby… hehehe :)

when i started hating my neighbors…

have you ever hated your neighbor? i thought i would never feel that but heck since our new neighbor came a few months back, my weeknights especially my weekend mornings has been a nightmare. The wife and daughter of our neighbor came from the squatters area, so its not surprising that they talk so loud and has this certain tone of voice that’s so irritating even when they are just talking normally. And when they’re having an argument (which is like every night and very dawn)… triple the headache you’ll get hearing them. Worse thing about them, they always turn on their radio so loud you can hear it streets away. And i hate them most during weekends. You see weekends are the only time i am able to wake up late at around 7-9am and yet i would always wake up to their loud music of very old disgusting songs and there’s this specific song i always hear every morning – something with the line “napakasakit kuya eddie”… grrrrrr whatever it is, i hate that song!?! how wish they never came to our place…. *sigh*

when i realized i’m over pigtails

Below is a partial lyrics of a song i heard on a shampoo commercial. Well, i thought of writing about this since it was raining all day and literally speaking, even with my umbrella, i got wet in the rain and felt its coolness on my skin. And since tonight i officially published my blog with some initial entries, i realized that today is a genesis of a new journey. My life will now be an open book on the web (just partly… hehehe) and with it i’m free to say anything that’s on my mind. Basically, today is where my book begins…

“Unwritten” by Natasha Beddingfield

feel the rain on your skin,
no one else can feel it for you,
only you can let it in
no one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
live your life with eyes wide open
today is where your book begins
