searching my blog and myself on google

Funny that the thought of searching my blog on google hit me. So during break at the office last friday, i searched these three words on google: “pusangkalye”, “pusang kalye”, and “kuting” and i discovered a lot of things….

1. My domain (pusangkalye.com) showed on the top list of course.
2. I saw websites, blogs, forums where i posted something using my pusangkalye or kuting name and my link back.
3. There are lots of other people who uses kuting and pusangkalye too aside from me.
4. I saw some people using some avatars in forums thats links from some images in m blog. (hmmm makes me think of disabling hot linking already…hmmm)
5. I found some sites where there has been some reviews of my blog which i didn’t know of. An example is at stumbleupon where some users posted a nice review about a certain post i wrote on my blog. [link1] [link2]
6. and a lot more…

I also tried searching my name in google in different variations and here’s what i found:

1. A lot of other people having same names
2. Old websites i visited or signed up for using old usernames
3. An article about me in a local newspaper company website (really.. and i never knew about it until the time i saw it on google) . Well okay its not all about me but i’m included in it. There’s this once paragraph that tells about me and its love related. haha.

So there, anyone else tried doing the same thing? found something shocking or interesting? its really worth a try. i’m sure you’ll discover a lot of things :)

Blog upgraded to WordPress 2.3.2

WordPress 2.3.2 is an urgent security release that fixes a bug that can be used to expose your draft posts. 2.3.2 also suppresses some error messages that can give away information about your database table structure and limits and stops some information leaks in the XML-RPC and APP implementations.

I’ve just upgraded my wordpress and good thing it went smoothly. Its my second time to upgrade my blog and i’m learning each time. Thanks to this tutorial that is really very useful and easy to understand that’s why i had a hassle-free upgrade :) Now off to upgrading my plugin versions.. geez …

Just another update…

It’s been a week or two i guess since i last logged in my blog. I’ve been pretty busy with work and other personal stuffs that i didn’t have time to even visit here. The only thing i was able to do is to send quick updates on Twitter from my phone or while i’m checking my mailbox on a computer, hehe. Anyway,  just this weekend something came up and i was pretty occupied creating a new website.  While doing it, i accidentally deleted my blog. Good thing, my host was able to provide me a backup copy of my files and fortunately i have a daily backup of my WordPress tables. And as of tonight, i was able to get my blog back just like how i last saw it, whew! I really thought i lost it. But now, i did some changes to it and i decided that it would just be more of a personal blog for the mean time as what i initially planned. Till then, meow meow!

My Favorite WordPress Plugins

Spicing up my blog, i looked for some nice plugins to use. Its a tough search and trial-and-error before i finally had my list which i currently use now. I’ve listed my favorite ones here with their description, links to their authors, and my personal comment about them. I’m not saying they’re the best out there but they suited my needs and worked perfectly for me that’s why i like them. Anyway, i’m also using some other plugins and if i learn to like them i’ll surely add them here.

Unwritten

Below is a partial lyrics of a song i heard on a shampoo commercial. Well, i thought of writing about this since it was raining all day and literally speaking, even with my umbrella, i got wet in the rain and felt its coolness on my skin. And since tonight i officially published my blog with some initial entries, i realized that today is a genesis of a new journey. My life will now be an open book on the web (just partly… hehehe) and with it i’m free to say anything that’s on my mind. Basically, today is where my book begins…

“Unwritten” by Natasha Beddingfield

feel the rain on your skin,
no one else can feel it for you,
only you can let it in
no one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
live your life with eyes wide open
today is where your book begins

It’s a boy!

On the night of September 19, 2007, i officially had my very first baby. I was so excited and very happy to finally have him. Just looking at my baby makes me smile and feel proud. He looks so cute and i just love him! Giving him a name was kinda hard on my part, yes, i’m so inlove with my baby i couldnt even think of name! haha. So thanks to my sister, i had the smartest and easiest name that suits him best and guess what? its the name of its motherboard - ABIT! hehe. Well i think it sounds nice and cool and fits him perfectly. Baby Abit runs on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Code Processor 4000+ and ABIT AN-M2 Motherboard and a literally cool Duke casing. Oh, before i forget, a big thanks to my colleage Cicis who was so kind to help me assemble Abit.

Anyway, below are some photos of my Baby Abit. Hope you like ‘em :)

My blog - reborn!

I had several tries before to have my blog and yet none lasted for more than a year. Its because i didn’t have the time to post or even care about it being so busy on my college years. So now finally, with a new domain name and at last, a nice host, my own computer, and hmmm… i guess more free time, i’m pretty sure i’m off to a good start. If i have extra free time, i’ll be trying to create my own design/theme and put some add-ons to spice up my blog. But for now, its the contents of this blog that matters most.
