Thanks Ryan :) Anyway, thats the nice thing about windows 7. once you have it installed, windows helps the user find the latest driver for your computer as well as for your softwares if what you currently have isn't compatible whatsoever (like i had this webcam for my desktop pc which its company hasn't made a 64bit windows 7 compatible driver yet last year and for some reason windows was able to find me a driver for it and it worked!). and basically, if your computer runs vista or even just xp, as long as it meets the minimum requirements for installing windows7, you'll be fine.

Hi, been following your site since i bought my X80ne last Dec 08...I was first very anxious to install windows 7 on the machine...but i really love to have it installed so without thinking twice, I installed the Win7 Ultimate last Nov 09...and voila! its working great..though the Win7 advisor and the Asus Website does say our model wont support win7 but i guess it worked for me...drivers are fine and some of it came along after the windows update...hope this help to some still deciding whether to install Win7 on X80ne. Goodluck and God bless...

my x80n laptop is with my little sister and so far its still xp. but im thinking of having it upgraded to windows 7. but the asus website doesnt have drivers available yet for windows 7 specifically unless you bought the laptop from them which therefore gives you access to their free windows 7 upgrade. but in my case, i didnt buy from them directly and so im on my own in installing my OS. for those interested so far the only info i have are:

- for most models, the vista drivers for asus laptops will work for windows 7.
- try to run microsoft's windows 7 advisor to verify your laptop can run windows 7 just to be sure

thats it. i havent tried it yet on the x80n since i gave the laptop to my sister already and im using a different laptop now. windows 7 is very good though, the best os ever made so far

@kathy - x80ne's have bluetooth button but you have to make sure that your unit has built-in bluetooth. If im not mistaken, there are two types of x80ne's in the market. One is x80NE-P037D and i forget the other one :D. On your webcam issue, try installing ASUS LifeFrame.

@jervy and all WinXP users - please check my site (http://filetrap.net/) and find "For ASUS X80NE Windows XP Users" post. I'll be uploading the drivers in a while.
